PR and media categories

Best in Biz Awards offers the following 11 PR and media categories. To be eligible, submissions should be executed during the eligibility period (that is, since January 1, 2016) and can be submitted regardless of the budget, final product size/length or dedicated team size.

Companies and organizations in all industries and regions in the U.S. or Canada are eligible to enter any and all of the categories.

Companies are allowed and encouraged to submit entries in multiple categories in Best in Biz Awards 2017.

PR CAMPAIGN OF THE YEAR

This includes all communications and public relations campaigns, across offline and online outlets, including but not limited to product launches, company announcements, thought leadership or crisis communications. Please make sure to include indicators of both quality (top outlets) and quantity of coverage, as well as ROI.

MARKETING CAMPAIGN OF THE YEAR

This includes all marketing campaigns, both offline and online. Both creativity and uniqueness of the campaigns, as well as the achieved ROI measures, serve as important criteria.

ADVERTISING CAMPAIGN OF THE YEAR

This includes both online and offline advertising campaigns. Both creativity and uniqueness of the campaigns, as well as the achieved ROI measures, serve as important criteria.

EVENT OF THE YEAR

This includes events ranging from internal motivation or recognition events through product introduction events and user/member conferences to conventions and tradeshows. Please make sure to include indicators of success (numbers of attendees, feedback, follow-up, etc.), as appropriate for the particular event being submitted.

WEBSITE OF THE YEAR

This includes entire company and organization websites, as well as product-specific sites or sites dedicated to particular campaigns or efforts (e.g. new marketing initiative, charity outreach, recruiting website, etc.).

BLOG OF THE YEAR

This includes entire company and organization blogs, as well as product-, cause- or theme-specific blogs.

SOCIAL MEDIA CHANNEL OF THE YEAR

This includes all social media channels, managed on behalf of a company or organization, or its department or product. This includes but is not limited to Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Pinterest and any other corporate or organizational social media presence. Please focus on both creativity and uniqueness of efforts, as well as measurable results.

FILM OR VIDEO OF THE YEAR

This includes films and videos ranging from internal or motivation films through PR or sales films to training videos and commercials. Please make sure to include an online link to the film or video material.

AD OF THE YEAR

This includes any form of advertising, including but not limited to TV commercials, billboards, banner ads or social media ads.

ANNUAL REPORT OF THE YEAR

This includes both online and print formats of annual reports created by publicly owned companies. Both design and effective presentation of company messages serve as judging criteria. Please make sure to either include an online link to the annual report or a sample file.

NEWSLETTER OF THE YEAR

This includes both internal and external newsletters, in both online and print formats. Both design and content serve as judging criteria. Please make sure to either include an online link to the newsletter or a sample file.
