Now in its fifth year, Best in Biz Awards honors companies, teams, executives and products for their business success in the current and previous year. Best in Biz Awards is unique, as it is the only independent business awards program judged by members of the press and industry analysts. Previous judges in the North American program hail from publications such as Businessweek, Fast Company, Financial Times, Fortune, Network World, Orange County Register, Reuters, San Francisco Chronicle and USA Today and winners include well-recognized brands such as 1-800-Flowers, Boyd Gaming, Citrix, Dell, Dyson, Eastman, Epson, Experian, Hilton, HP, LifeLock, National Association of Realtors, Safelite, Sandisk, StubHub, Symantec, UnitedHealthcare and YMCA, as well as many of the most innovative start-ups and up-and-coming companies from U.S. and Canada.
Best in Biz Awards is currently held annually in two separate, geography based programs: (1) a North American program, covering the U.S. and Canada; and (2) an International program open to all companies anywhere in the world. Companies may submit any number of entries to any of the 60 company, department / team, executive, product and PR and media award categories in any of the Best in Biz Awards programs throughout the year. Companies eligible to participate in multiple programs are encouraged to do so.
For each category a company enters, a simple 3-part submission is required. Submissions consist of: (1) a summary of achievements and successes during the eligibility period (2014-2015) that are relevant to the award category; (2) supporting hyperlinks; and (3) a short biography of the nominee. We have found that this simple, but meaningful submission process is intuitive, and gives the judging panel a great window into the relevant business successes of each of the award entrants, ensuring that all of our participants compete on the merits and on an equal basis.

Each year, Best in Biz Awards assembles a top-notch judging panel to review and score all awards submissions. Having researched and covered countless successful companies, products, and dynamic business personalities, the judges are well positioned to objectively evaluate the entry pool to determine the top companies, teams, executives and products from among the submissions.
Last year’s judging panel included 53 judges from such well-recognized publications as Adweek, American Banker, Boston.com, Computerworld, Consumer Affairs, Crain’s New York Business, CRN, Entrepreneur, eWeek, Inc., Information Week, MediaPost, Miami Herald, New York Observer, PC Magazine, San Jose Mercury News, Wired and ZDNet.
